And we’re back! Tuesday, November 18, 2008

I’m 5 hours shy of showing my face back in the office after being on vacay the past two weeks. I’m looking forward to seeing Beta and Gaby (already saw Lindsey on Sunday and that was happiness and love magnified), but I am not in the least looking forward to pushing pins again. So, this is me having End of the Weekend Anxiety, the trademark kind I typically have on Sundays. Only this time, it’s multiplied by at least 2 and blogging seems to be the one and only thing helping it. That and the last two episodes of 90210. Shameful, yes. But it was worth mentioning because on the Nov. 4th episode there were interruptions to give updates on how the election was going. And even though I knew the results as they came in, there is something tremendous about having this moment to relive and to have it as my own. It was one thing watching Obama’s victory speech on CNN somewhere along the Mediterranean Sea at 7 AM on Nov 5th, but it’s another thing altogether watching it at home–where it matters the most.

On reliving moments, God bless America but Europe…bless you. You have me intoxicated.

“It’s like an unhealthy relationship. If we’re not doing well, I need to stop and first ask myself, what did I do wrong? I need to fix that before messing with the other stuff…”
