Some things from the 80s need to stay in the 80s.  Like big, over processed hair and shoulder pads and, essentially, people like Brenda Dickson:

Then there are things worth a comeback.  Tabletop arcade games, like Pac-Man.  (Yay, Barcade!)  Pop locking.  Skinny jeans for some.  Madonna for everyone.  And with Madonna comes music and with music comes one of the best things to come from the 80s: the mixtape.

With Muxtape down indefinitely, I’m taking this opportunity to take it back to the old school.

I just bought five of these.  Be ready you lucky recipients.

I once admitted how when I type “Betsy” I usually type “Bets” only to mistype it as “Best.”  Well, here is “Best” magnified. Taken exactly one week ago (almost down to the minute), it captures some of the best things I find in life.  Good friends, like Betsy.  Being in New York!  Friday afternoons.  Friday afternoons not at work!  Gourmet cheeses.  Fine wine.  Easy conversation.  Laughs.

No, not The Eagles’ song. And definitely not the Olsen twins’ movie. Go with the Wikipedia definition of it as being a “very short period of time.” That’s what my last 4 days have been in, appropriately enough, New York. It’s also the amount of time I have to post this before sneaking in 3 hours of sleep before going to work today.

Death & Co. can describe what will be me amongst my co-workers at the office later today.

It's also a place where I left a portion of my heart.
