I saw a poster bill of the latest Rolling Stone magazine cover on the way to work. Thom Yorke was on it. It hit me: him and Clay Aiken could be brothers.

And their sister would be Tilda Swinton.

Tilda Swinton

Kind of like how Sia and Shakira could be voice sisters? Or maybe cousins.

Shakira’s Hips Don’t Lie

Yeah, cousins. Distant 3rd cousins.

Speaking of which, I really like Sia’s new album “Some People Have Real Problems.” I skip one of the tracks sometimes when I don’t want to think of a certain someone who shall remain nameless. But that’s because I’m in the school of dodging feelings and diverting myself with everything else that has nothing to do with me.

Like Jane in “27 Dresses,” which I saw last weekend. I was surprised how much I liked it and even more how it found a way to burn its way into my head by forcing me to identify with things I hate and how I give them a dose of my special talent of not saying “no.” Fun.

Just as fun as when some people call or IM you after years of no contact because they have problems they, for whatever illogical reason, feel you ought to know about. Or, what’s better is when they’re just plain lonely. Why do I entertain it and them when all I want to do is say “no” and point my finger in the direction of Loserville, USA?

That’s it for now.

Oh, wait, one last thing: is it just me or do sightings of older Hasidic Jews rocking hardcore state of the art cell phones kind of blow your mind?

Okay, really. That’s it for now.
