I have this thing against protective gear.  I refuse to wear dish washing gloves because of that smell it leaves on my hands, that rubbery grime that wreaks of unclean.  I resent wearing a helmet snowboarding because no matter how cool the helmet may be I still manage to look borderline “special.” And I’ve never been inclined to wear an apron when cooking because most of them say something cheesy.  That was until I came across this:

It’s so cute I may even wear it when doing arts and crafts.  Or maybe buy two.  Or three as a spare.

A stop at my old workplace yesterday for lunch yielded not only the most ginormous birthday pizza....

But my Christmas ornament head! And this Menorah I brought back to my office for my dear friend, Lindsey, perhaps my most favorite Jew!

It's time to kick off the holiday season, kids! Have a great Halloween weekend!

Not because they’re vacationing in Europe and along the Mediterranean Sea for 3 weeks. But because they’re each a unique version of truly good, loving people.

Oh, how I loathe these two.  But, oh, how I love how they bother me on the same level.

A week off from school was nice…for the second it lasted.  Now I’m back, currently doing a quick exercise:

a self portrait

First day of class is usually about the syllabus and meet-and-greet stuff.  Blah.  But for 20 minutes, this came out all right.

self portrait or the beginning of my graphic novel memoir?!

They provide me with health care, a paycheck, cool co-workers I can call friends and hold my hand while I’m in school.  This past quarter has been no exception.

Tonight’s my last class for my favorite class this quarter.  It was entirely based on electronic layouts in InDesign, but we were to produce a leave-behind.  And this is what I came up with.  Thanks, Button Factory for making this possible!
